Okeogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum President Visits Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho.

The President of the Okeogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum, Dr. Ojedokun Jonathan, alongside some members of his executive council, has paid a courtesy visit to the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho.
The visit, according to Dr. Ojedokun, was to express the forum’s joy over the establishment of the federal university in Okeogun. Speaking during the tour of the temporary site, he disclosed that the delegation had earlier visited the palace of the Onjo of Okeho, Oba Rafiu Osuolole, before proceeding to inspect the offices and classrooms where students are expected to receive lectures.
He commended the level of work already done at the site, noting that significant progress had been recorded. Dr. Ojedokun, however, called on well-meaning indigenes of Okeogun, both at home and in the diaspora, to contribute generously towards the growth of the institution. He emphasized that the university still requires a lot of facilities and support to attain national recognition and excellence.
When asked about his excitement regarding the emergence of the institution, Dr. Ojedokun expressed boundless joy, stressing that the university would save young people in Okeogun from having to travel long distances to northern or eastern parts of the country in search of quality education.
Dr. Ojedokun further assured that the Okeogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum would continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting education and development within the region. He noted that the presence of a federal university in Okeho would not only boost academic advancement but also stimulate economic activities and infrastructural growth across Okeogun.
He also urged government at all levels to give necessary backing to the university to ensure its smooth take-off and sustainability. According to him, “Education remains the bedrock of development, and this institution is a golden opportunity for Okeogun to rise and shine. With proper support, the university can transform the fortunes of our youths and position Okeogun as a center of academic excellence.”
