The Chairman of Egbe Ajosepo, Eng. Dauda Olaifa Alade has made a clarion call to political stakeholders to step up and financially support the ongoing campaign for Okeogun to produce the next governor of Oyo State.

Speaking during an exclusive interview, he disclosed that the socio-political group has so far relied largely on self-funding, supplemented occasionally by external assistance. While this approach has sustained the movement to its current stage, he believes it is now time for those in the political class — who stand to gain directly from the agitation — to take responsibility for funding it.

> “We have done our part up to this stage,” he stated. “Those of us leading the agitation are not politicians, but this cause will benefit the politicians when the time comes. We have tried and assisted them; now is the time for them to come forward and render financial assistance — and we are ready to accept it.”

The chairman stressed that the agitation for political power rotation in Oyo State is not just about advocacy and dialogue but also requires substantial financial backing to achieve its objectives. He maintained that the politicians who align with this cause would ultimately benefit from a stronger, more united Okeogun political front in the 2027 governorship race.
