In Okeogun and its surrounding communities, there’s no shortage of musical talent. From powerful vocalists to skilled producers and gifted lyricists, the region is home to creatives with enormous potential. Yet, despite their abilities, many artistes struggle to earn from their talent—a situation that often leads to frustration and, in some cases, pushes them toward unwise or shady alternatives in search of survival.
Concerned by this growing trend, MD DOLLY has decided to step in with a visionary project: the Okeogun Music Playlist—a platform designed not just to promote artistes, but to help them earn.
“We can't keep watching talents fade or go astray because there's no support system,” MD DOLLY said. “This initiative is about giving hope, building structure, and creating income for creatives at the grassroots.”
The playlist will feature selected songs from Okeogun-based artistes and will be distributed using a unique model that blends technology with physical promotion. While the full mechanics of the project remain under wraps for now, MD DOLLY assures that it’s a sustainable, transparent, and community-driven approach.
