In a bold and insightful interview on Okeogun Multimedia TV, the Chairman of Egbe Ajosepo fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo wa, Engr. Dauda Olaifa, and the Financial Secretary, Engr. Olusola Babalola, reiterated the association’s unwavering call for power rotation in Oyo State — with particular emphasis on giving the Okeogun zone its rightful place in the state's political leadership.
Engr. Dauda Olaifa began the session by appreciating the host and digital media personality, MD Dolly, for his consistent efforts in showcasing Okeogun’s issues and giving visibility to the activities of Egbe Ajosepo fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo wa. He explained that since the group’s formal establishment on December 12, 2024, its operations have been guided by a communique that continues to steer its advocacy in a structured and impactful manner.
“We’ve followed our communique step by step, and the results are evident. What started as what many saw as an antagonistic movement is now embraced by many. Our radio appearances and community engagements are increasingly seen as collaborative and visionary,” Engr. Olaifa stated.
When asked whether the group has encountered threats or resistance along the way, the Financial Secretary, Engr. Olusola Babalola, responded with philosophical confidence: “Life itself is a treaty. Only lion-hearted individuals can achieve their goals. Every member of this group is fully committed to our objective because we genuinely believe in it.”
Engr. Babalola further noted that no amount of threat can deter their resolve. “In just six months, this movement has grown into a household name. It’s now a slogan in the mouths of the common man. That tells you the people are with us.”
Addressing circulating rumors that the group’s agitation has reached the Presidency, Engr. Babalola neither confirmed nor denied, but rather offered a thoughtful perspective. “For something to even become a rumor shows it has traction. In today's world, everything is interconnected. At the press of a button, news travels far and wide. We've used newspapers, radio, television — and in Nigeria today, security operatives track movements and group activities closely. Reports definitely get to the Presidency.”
The interview marks just the first part of a series of conversations with Egbe Ajosepo leaders, as Okeogun Multimedia TV continues to highlight grassroots political movements and the voices behind them.
