ÒKEHÒ DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (ODA) CONVENES SECOND MEETING OF THE YEAR

The Òkehò Development Association (ODA) gathered for its second meeting of the year at the Department of School Library and Media Technology, University of Ibadan. The meeting, which took place on the 26th of July, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm, focused on crucial issues affecting the growth and development of Òkehò, the headquarters of Kájọlà Local Government Area in Ọ̀yọ́ State.

Key discussions included:

1. Federal University of Agriculture and Technology (FUNATO): Dr. Kasali Alarape Salau, Chairman of Ẹgbẹ́ Omo Ìbílẹ̀ Òkehò, reported on the progress of the university's temporary site, located at Awoyemi Commercial High School. He emphasized the need for continued efforts to prepare the site for the university's launch this year.

2. Constitution Review Committee Report: Barr. Abdul Waheed Ismail presented the report, highlighting key aspects of the association's constitution.

3. Òkehò Day Celebration: The meeting concluded that Ẹgbẹ́ Ọmọ Ìbílẹ̀ Òkehò should lead the organization of Òkehò Day, with ODA collaborating with the parent body and other associations.

The meeting was attended by 83 prominent sons and daughters of Òkehò, including Elder Julius Olaniyi Olawuwo, Chairman of ODA, and other notable community leaders, such as Barr. Abel Olaore, Mr. Taiwo Bamidele, Hon (Engr.) Ayoola, Alhaji Adeniran Salawu, Dr. Sunday Ojetunde, Mr. Sunday Lasun Alaba Barr. Abdul Waheed Ismail, Prof. Gboyega Adelodun, Dr. Nathaniel Olutegbe, Prof. Segun Egunjobi, Pastor Favour Adewoyin, Prof. Muritala Kewusola Azeez, Captain Ade Olopoenia, Tpl. Bola Aliu, Tim Amosun, Mr. Oluokun Ogungbenro, Abraham Olayode, Alh. Fatai Bola Azeez, Mr. Mike Ipadeola, Pastor Boye Makanjuola, Mr. Moroti Adelodun, Mr. Olu Ojesanmi and Mr. Moshood Agbe.

The meeting adjourned with plans to reconvene in October.
