Egbe Ajosepo fun Itesiwaju Gbogbo Wa Says No to Betraying the Collective Interest of Okeogun

In a strongly worded public disclaimer released on July 12, 2025, the leadership of Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa has condemned in unequivocal terms the actions of certain politicians and individuals from Òkèògùn who are allegedly undermining the collective interest of the region for personal and political gains.

The group expressed deep disappointment over the growing trend of Òkèògùn sons and daughters openly or covertly supporting governorship aspirants from outside the region. According to the group, these actions amount to betrayal at a time when Òkèògùn is legitimately agitating for political equity, justice, and inclusion through the power rotation agenda in Oyo State.

“Some of our own people are aligning with forces of domination and continued marginalisation, thereby mortgaging the future of our land,” the group stated.

While acknowledging the constitutional right of every individual to support candidates of their choice, Ẹgbẹ́ Àjọṣepọ̀ Fún Ìtẹsiwájú Gbogbo Wa made it clear that such actions do not reflect the will of the Òkèògùn people.

The statement categorically outlined key resolutions, including:

1. Disowning the actions of these individuals, stating they do not represent Òkèògùn’s collective will.

2. Warning that such actions could disqualify credible Òkèògùn sons and daughters from emerging as governor.

3. Condemning any attempt to impose non-Òkèògùn aspirants as an affront to the region’s long-standing political struggle.

4. Declaring such alignments as acts of sabotage and “political harlotry.”

5. Calling on all Òkèògùn indigenes to stay united, vigilant, and principled.

6. Vowing to name, shame, and politically isolate any saboteurs henceforth.

The group also addressed aspirants and political godfathers from outside the region, urging them to respect Òkèògùn’s right to produce the next governor of Oyo State.

“Using our people as pawns and tools for political manipulation is unacceptable,” the disclaimer emphasized.
